Emergency Action Plans (draft 2)
Across the country and around the world, church organizations have suffered losses from fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and even violence. While primary efforts need to focus on prevention, not all losses can be avoided, particularly when the causes are natural elements, or regional events like chemical releases, riots, or targeted violence. Good emergency response plans help ensure appropriate actions are taken and minimize the effects of any loss. In turn, effective business continuity strategies will help provide prompt return of employees, volunteers, and operations, and will enhance the organization's ability to accomplish its mission.
Emergency Business Continuity Brochure (English and Spanish)
Every year numerous emergencies, disasters and other unfortunate events adversely impact Seventh-day Adventist churches around the world. These occurences often result in personal and financial loss. It is our goal to assist you in caring for your home church, so that nothing can stand in the way of its work and mission.
In a serious emergency, city services will be impacted, so a basic rule of thumb is for people to be able to take care of each other for 72 hours before help arrives. That's just three days - think of it as a long weekend - or nine meals. SF72 is your hub for emergency preparedness. You'll find information about what to do in an emergency, simple steps to get connected, and useful guides to help you get prepared. Share SF72 with a friend- and help your loved ones and your city get prepared.
