Mad About Marriage - "Flipping the Switch"
.

Do you have the kind of marriage you imagined on the day you said, “I do”? Sadly, for many couples, their marital dreams don’t come true as 41 percent of first marriages end in divorce. This does not have to be your reality. Every marriage can be improved and strengthened because happily ever after is a choice.

Whether your marriage needs a little help or is doing well, this six-week marriage program can take your relationship to the next level where you will enjoy greater warmth, love and lasting happiness...and be mad about marriage again!

6-week curriculum course

This is a 6-week curriculum course designed to enrich marriages through a series of individual, relational and group
exercises. Using interviews from Lifestyle Magazine’s Mad About Marriage television series, experts join Mike & Gayle Tucker to guide couples through the following topics: Your Marriage Is Good Enough; Forgiveness; Marriage Myths; Intimacy & Desire; Love & Respect; and Commitment.

“Our work for Christ is to begin with the family in the home. ... There is no missionary field more important than this.” - Ellen White, The Adventist Home

According to a 2011 Pew Research Center survey, 84% of Americans said that having a successful marriage was very important to them. What better way for Seventh-day Adventist churches to connect with their communities than by helping couples to strengthen their marriages?

As part of the Bridges: Bay Area for Jesus initiative, the Northern California Conference hosted Mad About Marriage — an outreach effort for Oakland and the East Bay. Mike and Gayle Tucker, from the television show “Lifestyle Magazine,” conducted the award-winning seminar on Nov. 1 in Oakland. Special guests at the event were David and Tamela Mann, from the hit TBS sitcom “Meet the Browns.”

Currently, local Oakland churches are hosting “Flipping the Switch,” a six-week small group curriculum that will build on the skills taught at the seminar. Each follow-up session will consist of a DVD presentation, discussions, and exercises. This is a great opportunity for you to connect with interested people in your community!
