As the risk management department for the Northern California Conference, our goals are to help promote awareness and understanding of possible risks, while using our resources to maintain coverage to minimize the impact of any unfortunate event. Our utmost focus is the safekeeping of individuals who come into contact with our ministries, including our employees, as well as focusing on safeguarding the properties and assets of our organization.
Liability claims draw resources away from vital programs and disrupt lives, causing personal turmoil and strife that distract from our primary gospel mission. With effective risk management, we will have fewer liability claims, fewer disgruntled employees, fewer accidents and deaths, and fewer property losses—all of which amounts to more time, attention, and money available to be devoted to evangelism.
