Helping Victims of the 2017 Fires

DONATE TODAY!

For more than a week, multiple fires have been raging throughout Northern California - burning hundreds of thousands of acres and destroying thousands of homes and businesses. These fires have been the deadliest in state history, with more than 40 confirmed fatalities, and more expected.

Numerous people had to flee their homes with only a few minutes’ notice, leaving everything behind. They could use some help getting back on their feet. Although many of the properties are insured, it costs a lot of money to start over from nothing!

As the body of Christ, we are called to shelter, feed, clothe, and encourage those in need. If we all give something, we can make a big difference. Please make a donation today!

3 Ways to Help!
  1. Donate electronically at www.nccsda.com/FireVictims
  2. Your church’s offering plate - Place your donation in a tithe envelope and designate it for “Fire Victims”
  3. Send a check made out to Northern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Memo Line: “Fire Victims”, P.O. Box 23165, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523
How Your Donation Helps

Thank you for your donation and support for victims of the 2017 fires. The Northern California Conference administration is working with local church pastors and principals to assess immediate needs of local members who have lost homes. We encourage any pastor and principal who knows of a need for a local family to contact the Conference right away at info@nccsda.com. We will distribute this fund to those families as money is added. We want to surround these families with love during this time of loss and let them know our church family is here to help.

Also, Charlene Sargent, Pacific Union Conference Disaster Response Director, has been working with emergency managers in California to determine how Adventist Community Services can continue to assist those that have been affected. The recovery process will take many months or even years, and more importantly, financial resources. Adventist Community Services can also use this fund to support ongoing efforts to serve communities affected by these fires.
