Welcome to Redwood Camp Meeting 2016! We hope you will find true re-creation here that will rejuvenate and refresh your walk with Jesus.
This summer’s Redwood Camp Meeting theme is the second of a five-year series focusing on Christ’s method of evangelism, as described in Ellen White’s book, The Ministry of Healing. “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, ‘Follow Me’” (143).
Let the meetings and fellowship inspire you to follow Christ’s method in your own family, workplace, and neighborhood. You’ll also have the opportunity to show His love to the Humboldt County community during the second annual Redwood Community Service Day. Last year’s event helped us begin building relationships (last year’s theme) with community members—and we hope to continue this important work this summer.
Come and be part of Northern California’s camp meeting tradition!

It says in the Bible that the "trees of the field shall clap their hands." Every year at camp meeting we get a taste of just that. Some of the tallest trees in the world grow in Humboldt County. This area also features six rivers, one of which is on the border of our camp. Every year many people visit for 10 days to soak in the warm sunshine, cool off under the glorious trees, soak in the sights of countless wildlife, and most importantly, rejuvenate their experience and relationship with Christ. From old to young, there is something for everyone in the Lord and what better place to find and develop it than here in His presence out in His glorious creation.
The first meeting of the Redwood Area Camp was held for the local North Coast churches on a summer weekend in 1951 in Redwood Creek.
Meetings were held in Hammond Grove, from 1952 through 1975 on land which was rented from various owners including Georgia-Pacific, then Louisiana-Pacific, the Nature Conservancy, and eventually the County of Humboldt. Environmental activists eventually made the location unusable and the present site on Dyerville Loop Road was purchased in 1976 consisting of 50 acres.
In 1979 an additional 29.5 acres were purchased making a total of 79.5 acres. More campsites were made and more families continued to come. Permanent structures such as rest rooms were built and the water system was upgraded.
Additions and sales of land now leave the Redwood Area Camp with approximately 100 acres of land and about 1700 campsites. Storage facilities, vehicles, trailers, and other improvements make the Redwood Area Camp one of the nicest locations where Seventh-day Adventists from Northern California and the western United States can gather together and worship in God's sacred out-of-doors.

Going north from Ukiah on the US 101 and just north of the town of Weott, turn off on the Honeydew exit. At the first stop sign go straight ahead through large grove of Redwoods. Continue through Redwoods, through an open area, and up and down a narrow curvy road for about 2-3 miles. Right after going under a railroad bridge the campground will be straight ahead.
Going south from Eureka or Fortuna on the US 101 take the Honeydew exit. At the stop sign turn slightly left under the freeway and then immediately right across the bridge. Take the first left and then straight through the large grove of Redwoods and continue as above.
